The Notarization process can seem overwhelming. However, here are the 8 general steps you will see when meeting with a Notary Public.

The presence of the principal signer is required for any notarial act.

Each person requesting a notarization must be positively identified through personal knowledge or satisfactory evidence of identity.

Your Signature will be verified.

You will be asked to take the acknowledgment, Oath, or Affirmation.

The notary will complete his/her journal.

The notary will then complete the notarial certificate.

The notary will sign his/her signature.

Lastly the notary will affix an impression of the official notary seal.
